A truly rare optioned example with a bench seat, columnshift automatic transmission featuring a sought after high impact color! Sincethis car was a low mileage survivor in good condition, the owner decided to doa minimal restoration to preserve the car from minimal surface rust. The carwas disassembled with all items bagged and tagged, the original steel panelswere rotisserie cleaned just as it was from the factory not to be overdone andprofessionally painted with base & clear coat paint. The paint on theunderside of the hood and trunk lid is original, as well as the Shaker andjacking instructions decals. According to the broadcast sheet the car wassupposed to have undercoating, we chose not to under coat the car so theoriginal floor pans would be completely visible. The car was then reassembledto as close to original as possible with its original parts and only a limited amountof items that were replaced due to age. Replaced items include the headliner, carpet, seals, brake lines, fuel lines, exhaust, wheels, and tires. The car hasits original interior with exception of the above mentioned items. According to the broadcast sheet thiscar is not supposed to have the hockey stripe but at some point it was added tothe car, possibly dealer installed, so we put the stripe back on the car afterit was painted. (It can be easily removed if desired by its new owner)
The original engine, transmission and carburetors have newseals and gaskets, but they are not rebuilt in an effort to retain theoriginality of the car. To the best of our knowledge this car has been put backas built from the factory runs and drives great looks awesome! All the paintand assembly work was performed by DavidKing Restorations in Hamersville, Ohio.
